Shichi-Go-San (七五三) Ceremony in Hawaii

Shichi-Go-San (七五三, literally "seven-five-three") is a traditional rite of passage and festival day in Japan for three and seven year-old girls and three and five year-old boys, held annually on November 15. The children are taken to shrines to receive the blessings of the deities. As our daughter Rachael Haruka Wang just turned 3 years old, we were so excited to bring her to the shichi-go-san ceremony. Rachael wore an elegant kimono, her hair was meticulously and opulently styled. it was such amazing transformation of Rachael from a little girl to a little adult!!
